I Was looking for 1080P in 37in and not too proud to admit was looking for the cheapest I could find, Pushed a bit and got extended warranty thrown in, Superb TV in digital mode (borrowed my mates PS3 to test it, intending to get Sky HD). Analogue reception compared to my old TV is crap but that may be the aerial (it won't even FIND BBC2). NOTE this TV does not seem to like any other equipment near it. I had my sky box close and freeview reception wea hopeless untill I moved the Sky box away (Just a std Sky box too). Picture off a computer box is everything you would expect. There is no glass in front of the screen so beware all you WII owners. Hooked straight up to my Video and DVD/HDD recorder no problem. for convert and record freaks you can record from the TV Via AV2, NO MATTER WHAT THE INPUT (Apart From AV2 OBVIOUSLY. Supports CAM for top-up TV on freeview. Rating:  - Hitachi 37" LCD 1080pHad this TV about 2 months, it's a difficult one to rate as the TV was extremely ease to set up, it has loads of good functions, and a very high spec for the money. Unfortunately the sound on the one I had was particularly poor. Any music or sound effects were good, but the speech was very muffled and poor. This was probably just a bad set, and not something inherent with all the models. I dont want to put anyone off ordering this TV, because as long as you get a good one I sure you'll be pleased with your purchase. I have returned mine, and have ordered a Samsung instead, hopefully that will be better. Rating:  - Great HD TVBought as our second 1080p tv. Was going for a Toshiba, but got an amazing price for the Hitachi and thought it was worth the risk, especially given the reviews on this page. We are really pleased. Easy to set up, not the most stylish, but not bad. Great picture and easy control. The internal tuner needs a good aerial and I had to finally go out and buy a digital version, now that's installed the picture is as good as anything I have seen. If it is like previous Hitachi tv's we have had we will be very old indeed when it fails. Rating: - great buyi ordered this a few weeks ago and i'm really please with it. i hook up my ps3 for the full HD experience and it has amazing picture and sound quality. the picture quality of the freeview was a slight disappointment though, with slight loss of picture quality but all round is a great TV. You should also take advantage of the stand offer as it is a great stand that looks really nice with the TV. After looking at the reviews about this set i thought to myself " hmmm why is it so cheap compared to the likes of sony, samsung lg ? " and was a bit optimistic. I decided to go ahead and purchase this and , oh my god, i should have brought it sooner, the picture via the ps3 is unreal, the sound is superb and the blue ray movies are out of this world. The only thing im waiting for now is for sky hd to be installed. In my opinion , for £578 compared to the likes of the top brands this is great value for money and would advise anyone, dont be worried, just by this one !!!!!
